The Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI)
in partnership with the World Bank Institute (WBI), Washington is
conducting a program on Strengthening Urban Management during March 29 –
April 2 2010, targeting senior urban development policy makers
especially Commissioners and Mayors of cities. The Program is also
supported by the Water and Sanitation Program-South Asia and Ministry of
Urban Development, Government of India. ASCI-WBI SUM 2010 Program is
designed specifically to support the capacity building in Indian cities.
The Program assumes significance in the
context of JNNURM, UIDSSMT and IHSDP – ongoing fiscal incentive programs
of Government of India and modules specifically designed keeping
in view the capacity requirements for their effective implementation.
Leading national and international
speakers/experts have been identified by ASCI/WBI and they are being invited
to share their experiences during this Program.
In this context, we invite you to
participate/nominate/sponsor senior level functionaries and elected
representatives from your organization/urban local bodies for this
program.
The program fee is Rs 27,500/- (US $ 860
for foreign participants) plus Service Tax @ 10.30% per participant. This fee covers
tuition, courseware, boarding and lodging expenses. Single occupancy
air-conditioned accommodation will be provided to all the participants.
Since, the College enjoys exemption from income tax, please do not
deduct tax from the fees.
