Brief Profile
MUBEEN RAFAT
is a Member of Faculty in the Finance Area, of Administrative Staff College of India. She did her Masters in Management Studies from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute, Mumbai University, with a specialization in Finance. She has also completed BAAN boundary
spanner training on ERP.
She has over 18 years of experience in industry and academics. She started her career in the Treasury Department of National Organic Chemical Industries Ltd, Mumbai. She was also heading the Finance and Accounting function at Intergraph Consulting
Private Ltd, Hyderabad, a wholly owned subsidiary of Intergraph Corporation USA.
Her academic experience spans training and consultancy assignments in the areas of Corporate Finance, Capital Market, Corporate Restructuring, Mergers & Acquisitions, Commercial & Financial Due Diligence, Corporate Performance Measurement,
Business Plan Formulation, Resource Mobilisation, Working Capital Management, Accounting Standards, US GAAP, Asset Securitisation and Cash Management Solutions.
She has worked on assignments with Larsen & Toubro, Airfreight, Quintiles (India), Godfrey Phillips Ltd, ITC-Bhadrachalam Paperboards Division, Zuari Industries, Essel Propack, Indian Petrochemicals Corporation, Indian Airlines, Andhra Pradesh State
Financial Corporation, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, National Thermal Power Corporation, Powergrid Corporation, Electronics Corporation of India, Bank of India and Vysya Bank.
Her programmes on Finance for Non-finance executives have received an overwhelming response and she has distinctive capabilities of explaining Finance subjects in a simple and easy to understand manner. She has conducted a series of programmes on the
capital market with a focus on demonstrating the power of the trading software used by National Stock Exchange for software professionals in Satyam Computer Services. She has also conducted training assignments in Muscat for Oman International Bank and the ETA-ASCON group in Dubai.
She has published several articles in the areas of capital market and the financial services industry in India. Current Interests Academic interests include: Corporate financing, financial management, foreign exchange, risk management, capital market, project cost control, and computer applications in finance.
