SEC - 113 has been designed to facilitate the transition of senior functional executives to general managers. It enables the participants to develop an integrated view of business across functions, optimize resources and make effective decisions. These competencies would enable the executives to deliver superior results in an increasingly uncertain and complex environment.
This year, the SEC - 113 has been designed to enable managers to enhance competencies to meet the challenges of the current global economic crisis. The focus of learning in SEC-113 would be developing leadership abilities, strategies for retaining top talent and managing the cash flow cycle. The design of innovative strategies to enable organizations to navigate successfully through the current economic downturn will also be covered.

Pedagogy
The inputs will be delivered through lecture-cum discussions, case-analyses, audio-visual presentations, role-play, simulated business and project work. The course also includes a 4-week business strategy exercise on simulation, which will not only provide a hands-on learning experience but also synthesize the learning.

Participant Profile
The program is designed for managers at the middle and senior management levels, with work experience of at least six years in medium and large organizations in the public, private or government sectors. Managers with high-growth potential aspiring for higher business responsibilities will find the programme beneficial.Organisational sponsorship is essential.
Programme Schedule
The programme will start at 0900 hrs on Monday, June 8, 2009 and end by the afternoon of Friday, July 3, 2009. Sessions are generally scheduled between 0900 hrs and 1730 hrs from Monday to Saturday.
The programme schedule includes social networking, dinners, cultural events and sports activities. Sports activities include: Tennis, Badminton, Chess, Billiards, Swimming, Table Tennis, etc.
Sightseeing tours will also be planned to places of historical importance like the Charminar, Golconda and Salar Jung Museum. The itinerary also includes a visit to Ramoji Film City, the world's largest integrated film studio complex.
Venue
The Programme is fully residential and will be held at the picturesque Bella Vista campus of the College in the heart of Hyderabad. Participants will be provided an air-conditioned single room accommodation and recreation facilities on the campus. Transportation from and to airport / railway station will also be arranged.
Sponsorship
MMinistry of External Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi, sponsors the foreign participants under Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation (ITEC) and Special Commonwealth African Assistance Plan (SCAAP) Scheme. The course requires foreign participants to possess sufficient knowledge of English to follow lectures and participate in discussions. Participants from ITEC & SCAAP countries are requested to apply through the Indian Embassy/Consulate in their respective countries.

The fee includes tuition, board and lodging, courseware and use of other campus facilities.

Nomination forms duly filled-in, along with a crossed Banker's Cheque / Demand Draft towards programme fee drawn in favour of “Administrative Staff College of India” payable at Hyderabad, must reach the Programmes Officer before May 25, 2009. Last date for Withrawal
The last date for withdrawal of nomination is June 1, 2009. Any withdrawal thereafter will entail forfeiture of fee paid.
