The General Management Programme for Senior Executives (also referred to as SEC) is a flagship programme of ASCI. This four-week programme is designed to facilitate the transition of senior functional executives to general managers. It enables the participants to develop an integrated view of business across functions, optimize resources, make effective decisions and enhance leadership skills and personal effectiveness. These competencies would enable the executives to deliver superior results in an increasingly uncertain and complex environment.
SEC–114 has been specifically designed to enable managers to enhance competencies to meet the imperatives of gearing up
for recovery from the economic crisis. The focus of learning in SEC-114 is on developing leadership abilities, strategies for retaining top talent, managing the cash flow cycle and risk management. The programme will address the design of innovative strategies to enable organizations to navigate successfully through this phase of transition.

Pedagogy
The inputs will be delivered through lecture-cum discussions, case-analyses, experience sharing, audio-visual presentations, role-play, simulated business and project work. The emphasis will be on interactive and participative learning. The course also includes a 4-week business strategy exercise using simulation, which will not only provide a hands-on learning experience but also integrate and synthesize the learning.

Participant Profile
The program is designed for managers at the upper middle and senior management levels, with work experience of at least 10 (ten) years in medium and large organizations in the corporate and government sectors. Executives with high growth potential who are likely to take up higher business responsibilities will find the programme beneficial. .Organisational sponsorship is essential.
Programme Schedule
The programme will start at 0930 hrs on Monday, January 11, 2010 and end by the afternoon of Friday, February 5, 2010. Sessions are generally scheduled between 0900 hrs and 1730 hrs from Monday to Saturday.
The programme schedule includes recreational activities including social networking dinners, cultural events and sports activities. Sports activities include: Tennis, Badminton, Chess, Billiards, Swimming, Table Tennis, etc.
Sightseeing tours are planned to places of historical importance like the Charminar, Golconda Fort, and Salar Jung Museum. The itinerary also includes a visit to Ramoji Film City, the world's largest integrated film studio complex.
Venue
The Programme is fully residential and will be held at the picturesque Bella Vista campus of the College in the heart of Hyderabad. Participants will be provided an air-conditioned single room accommodation and recreation facilities on the campus. Transportation from and to airport / railway station will also be arranged.
Sponsorship
Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi sponsors eligible foreign participants under Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation (ITEC) and Special Commonwealth African Assistance Plan (SCAAP) Scheme. Participants must possess a working knowledge of English. Participants from ITEC & SCAAP countries are requested to apply through the Indian Embassy/Consulate in their respective countries.
Fee
The fee includes tuition, board and lodging, courseware and use of other campus facilities.

The College is exempted from Income Tax, and hence TDS should not be deducted.
ASCI is committed to increase participation of women executives. We extend a discount of 10% to all nominated women executives.
Last Date for Nomination
Nomination forms duly filled-in, along with a crossed Banker's Cheque / Demand Draft towards programme fee drawn in favour of “Administrative Staff College of India” payable at Hyderabad, must reach the Programmes Officer before December 22, 2009. Last date for Withrawal
The last date for withdrawal of nomination is December 31, 2009. Any withdrawal thereafter will entail forfeiture of fee paid.
