| Building and implementing an effective Knowledge Management (KM) strategy that is aligned to business objectives is an imperative which organizations cannot ignore as they participate in the New Economy. There is a need therefore, to examine the organization’s present Knowledge Management environment and work towards building a roadmap for future KM action. |

| Knowledge Management (KM) involves putting in place the processes, technologies, relevant disciplines and supporting policies that create and sustain an environment in which knowledge is nurtured and leveraged to create enduring value for the organization. |

| Information Technology (IT) plays an instrumental role in enabling Knowledge Management. Several accepted and emerging information technologies can be harnessed judiciously to create an architecture and infrastructure that will support various processes for harvesting, sharing, capturing and dissemination of organizational Knowledge. |

| ASCI’s 3-day programme on “IT-Enabled Knowledge Management” provides an informed, action-oriented perspective on Knowledge Management for the organization. |

| METHODOLOGY |

| The emphasis will be on learning through lectures, case studies, exercises and experience sharing with Industry practitioners and speakers from organizations that have implemented IT-enabled KM initiatives. |

| Participants are encouraged to bring with them information and issues relating to knowledge management and related information technology issues which could be used for discussions during the programme. |

| PARTICIPANT PROFILE |
| |
| Participation in the programme will be of value to organizations in the manufacturing, services and the institutional sectors. The programme would benefit senior executives in business functions (such as marketing and sales, R&D, production, Human Resources Management, finance, logistics, and others), and knowledge management as well as IT functions should participate to provide the required cross-functional appreciation. |

| VENUE |
| |
| The programme is fully residential and the participants will be accommodated in single air-conditioned rooms in the Bella Vista or the College Park Campus of the College at Hyderabad. The College does not provide accommodation for the family. Transport between Airport / Railway Station and Campus will be arranged by the College. |

| PROGRAMME DURATION |
| |
| The Programme duration is from Wednesday, February 24, 2010 to Friday, February 26, 2010. The participants are expected to arrive a day before the commencement and may leave after the conclusion of the programme. |
| |
| PROGRAMME FEE |
| |
| Rs 19,000/- (US$ 590 if foreign) plus Service Tax of 10.30% per participant will be charged to cover tuition, board, and lodging, courseware and other facilities of the College including Internet usage. Local participants not availing hostel accommodation will be given a discount of Rs. 1,000/- per day for the duration of the programme. |

| A concession of ten per cent is given to the second nominee and onwards. A ten per cent concession is also given to a woman participant, either as a lone nominee or by treating her nomination as a first nominee in a group of nominations. |
| |
| The College is exempt from income tax, and hence TDS should not be deducted. |

| LAST DATE FOR NOMINATION |
| |
| The nomination form duly filled in along with the Demand Draft made out in favour of “Administrative Staff College of India” payable at Hyderabad should reach the Programmes Officer by February 10, 2010. |
| |
| LAST DATE FOR WITHDRAWAL |
| |
| February 17, 2010. Any withdrawals after this date will entail forfeiture of fee paid. |

| ASCI ALUMNI ASSOCIATION |
| |
| Participants of College programmes will automatically become members of ASCI Alumni Association. |
| |
| CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION |
| The College issues a certificate of Participation on conclusion of the Programme. |
