INTRODUCTION

Constantly declining and increasingly volatile revenue streams have made it imperative to manage costs across the entire value chain.  Even a small reduction in costs, can have a significant impact on the bottom line, which otherwise would be possible only through a phenomenal increase in sales. This programme offers a unique approach to managing costs that improves visibility over product cost structures and business processes while reviewing best practices to optimise them. The objective of the programme is to develop a well-conceptualised cost reduction strategy to capture maximum value in the form of direct savings.

This programme has been designed to provide the tools and techniques to optimise product/service cost structures, and reduce costs. The programme also provides the participants with valuable insights into the analysis of activities for their degree of customer value-add and identify ways of redesigning activities and processes to improve productivity and increase value. The programme provides a comprehensive coverage of the implementation issues in developing systems for better-cost management and integrates a broad range of examples from both manufacturing and service industry sectors. In this programme, participants develop a deeper understanding of a company’s value chain and develop insights into the link between the value drivers and cost information.
