Professor Mubeen Rafat, currently Professor, Area Chairperson, Money, Banking, Corporate Finance and Governance Area, Centre for Economics, ASCI, has over 20 years of experience in industry and academics. She is also Guest faculty at ISB and TMTC.
She has worked on assignments with several MNCs like Larsen & Toubro, Airfreight, Quintiles (India), TCS, LG India, ACC, Crompton Greaves, Godfrey Phillips Ltd, ITC-Bhadrachalam Paperboards Division, Merrill Lynch, Satyam Computer Services, Zuari Industries, Essel Propack, Indian Petrochemicals Corporation, Indian Airlines, Steel Authority of India Ltd, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, NTPC, Powergrid Corporation and ETA-ASCON group in Dubai. She has worked on a corporate governance assignment for the Govt of Orissa on eight State Level Public Enterprises
Prior to ASCI, she was in the Treasury Department of National Organic Chemical Industries Ltd, Mumbai, and was also heading the Finance and Accounting function at Intergraph Consulting Private Ltd, Hyderabad.
Prof. Rafat conducted specialized training assignments for banks such as Oman International Bank, Bank of India and Vysya Bank, and designed and conducted a series of programmes on the capital market with a focus on demonstrating the power of the trading software used by National Stock Exchange for Satyam Computer Services.
She has published several articles in the areas of capital market and the financial services industry in India.
