Chandrasekhar is currently Professor & Area Chairperson, Technology Policy, Management and Innovation Area and Director, Centre for Innovation & Technology at the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad.
Prior to joining ASCI, between 1983 and 2002, he held senior management and top executive grade positions in the manufacturing and financial services, in the public and private sectors in India.

Current areas of interest of Prof. Chandrasekhar are – Science & Technology (S&T) Policy; Innovation Management, S&T Performance Measurement and Indicators, Science Audit, Technology Valorization and Return on Technology Investments.
