Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) is a pioneer in post-experience management education in the country. Duties and Responsibilities of Assistant Registrar

(Secretarial and Establishment)

  1. All work relating to the College Society, all meetings of the Court of Governors, Standing Committee of the CoG, AGM, DGEC including notices, agenda, minutes, follow-up, etc.

  2. All aspects involved in Recruitment to Separations of Group II and III Staff, which covers advertising, initial processing of applications, arranging seminars/selection committee meetings, probation and confirmation, annual increments, leave and LTC (including Group IV / V staff), personnel development, final settlements and also Project-tied staff matters, etc. 

  3. Matters relating to ASCI Foundation and other Memorial Lectures encompassing printing and dispatch of lecture invitations and lecture text, liaising with other sections / departments regarding arrangements for lectures etc.  

  4. Matters relating to insurance of College property and equipment including property tax and other levies in respect of buildings / assets including liaison with Insurance companies on claims etc.

  5. Matters relating to legal cases – liaising with the legal counsels, collection and supply of information for preparation of affidavits as required and periodical follow-up of status and its reporting.

  6. Arranging physical verification of College Assets, writing and maintenance of Assets records, and Insurance thereof.

  7. Membership of the College with outside institutions, staff Development, etc.  

  8. Preparation of important notes relating to policy matters, circulars, etc.

  9. Providing guidance to the Establishment Officer in respect of promotions, disciplinary matters and other important matters with regard to Group IV and V.

  10. In relation to printing of Annual Report and lecture texts, proof reading, printing and distribution.

  11. Looking after the routine work of the Registrar & Secretary, in his absence.  

  12. Any other administrative or personnel matters assigned by the Registrar or the Director General, from time to time.

  13. Remuneration will be in the pay scale of Rs.8550-380-14325 (on minimum gross: Rs.22285 including CPF).

 

Desired Profile

Candidates should have expertise in the above disciplines; should have proven experience in undertaking research / consultancy work and appointments will be on contractual basis, initially for a period of one to three years.  Contract renewable on mutually agreeable terms
