ASCI Completes a Study for Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board
ASCI, commissioned by the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB), had developed an expansion and restructuring plan for the Board.
The study was completed in two phases.
Phase I
A SWOT analysis was conducted keeping in view multi-dimensional responsibilities;
A review, of the existing systems and procedures followed in discharging statutory responsibilities, was undertaken;
Necessary suggestions were given to improve upon the identified areas.
Phase II
A study of the existing manpower and structure was conducted;
Recommendations for suitable organizational restructuring, keeping in view the mandate of RSPCB, were given.
The study was undertaken to help RSPCB:
Implement different statutory mandates, under the given provisions of environmental laws;
Strengthen the organization, for evolving an effective delivery and monitoring system.
A team of experts led by Mr. G Bala Subramanyam, Advisor, Environment Area, and Prof V S Chary, Center Director, EEUG&ID, had undertaken the assignment.
