Awards for Innovation in Educational Administration: 
Yet another project delivered by ASCI

ASCI has successfully completed a Project under the Component-6 of Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT) to duly recognise and honour Innovations in Teaching in Higher Education in India.

As part of this project, ASCI was involved in doing the research as well as devising the process for receiving, evaluating and selecting innovations in various aspects of teaching, such as Curriculum Design, Pedagogy, ICT for Teaching, Inclusion etc., through a three stage process.

The Jury selected seven Teaching Innovators for Awards and eight teachers were given Certificates of Appreciation.


The Awards were presented in a glittering ceremony at Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra on 4th January, 2019.

The Union HR Minister Mr. Prakash Javadekar gave away wards to the winners at a ceremony, jointly organised with NIEPA (National Institute of Education Planning & Administration),

The Union Minister of State for HR, Dr Satyapal Singh, Secretary School Education, Ms. Reena Ray (IAS) and Joint Secretary (H.E), N.Saravana Kumar, were also present.


The Union HR Minister and the other dignitaries released a book “Teaching Innovation in Higher Education. Selected case studies from PMMMNMTT Award Scheme” documented by ASCI. “We also created a short video of 20 minutes for documenting the Innovations in an audio visual presentation. This was played on the screen before & after the formal event,” Prof. G. Mohan, Director, Centre for Innovation and Technology, at ASCI said.
