Programme Objectives

  • Appreciate, recognize and explore the defining role, both current and future, of Science, Technology and Innovation in national development ·
  • Promote informed discussion on how the national S&T enterprise could embrace S&T-led innovation as a driver of economic well-being and social good.
  • Foster Innovation for inclusive growth ensuring access, availability and affordability of solutions to common citizens.
  • Analyze the existing successful models as well as need for establishing new structures and frameworks for promoting innovations
  • Facilitate the participants to acquire skills required to promote innovation and technology for competitiveness


  • Talks by distinguished scientists, industry leaders, eminent technology managers, Venture Capitalists & able administrators.
  • Visits to some of the best-practice driven, model R&D labs and S&T Training institutions
  • Case studies and Videos
  • Panel discussions on effective and efficient management of Innovation and Technology in R&D institutions and industries.
  • Project report preparation & presentations
  • Three-day outbound exercise for enhancing team-building skills and inter-personal relations (optional)

Target Participants

The programme is designed for experienced scientists and technologists (of levels ‘C’ to ‘G’ or equivalent) with work experience of 9 (nine) years and above. Nominations from academics should possess PhD / M.Tech degrees and should be actively involved in Research & Development. Age of the applicants should not be more than 58 years as on 1 July 2017.

All nominations have to be strictly from the government sector only and nomination of applicants from private sector will not be accepted.
